Our Mission at the West Virginia Family Grief Center is to provide caring support to grieving children, teens and adults.

Schedule:

6:00pm – Meet, greet & dinner 

6:30pm – Break into age group support sessions 

7:30pm – Convene & conclude 

Group sessions for children, teens and their caregivers meet every Thursday during the school year and twice a month on Thursday's in the Summer. 

Adult bereavement support group meet the second and fourth Thursday during the school year of the second Thursday of the month in the Summer.

Our goal is to provide a safe place with safe people for children, teens, and their families to:

  • Know they are not alone in their grief
  • Share their feelings, memories, and experiences in an atmosphere of non-judgmental acceptance
  • See that what they are going though is normal
  • Know that hope and healing are possible
